Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Otago
Wellington-born Ko Vasan followed his sister’s footsteps and graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Otago University in 1998. After working in Rotorua, he headed over to the UK and worked in private practice in Leeds and London for 2 years, before settling down in Auckland. Over his 20 year career, he has worked in several practices and has been an associate in Onehunga, Auckland for the past 12 years. Ko has a special interest in Biomimetic dentistry (to restore teeth aiming to increase strength back to mimic nature and inhibit further breakdown). He has attended international seminars in this area, and attends ongoing education in all areas of general dentistry. Ko is an Associate member of the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry and locally he is a Board Member of the NZIMID (minimally invasive dentistry). He has a passion for comprehensive treatment plans which focus on patient’s oral health and long-term strengthening of teeth. Together he and his wife are kept busy raising their 2 young children.
Helpful and professional dentist practice. After getting a tooth infection whilst visiting friends in Auckland, I got a response to my email and an appointment booked with in 10 minutes.
